Our lunchtime and after-school clubs are a great way for pupils to learn new skills, build their confidence and explore topics that aren’t covered in school.

Our Extended Services team run a rolling programme of clubs and activities throughout the year, split into two areas:

  • Study support includes a range of homework clubs as well as revision classes in the run-up to exam season.
  • Sports, leisure and arts gives students a chance to learn new skills, try something different or further a love of a particular activity. Sports clubs help our students stay fit and healthy, learn about working in a team and channel their energy in safe and supportive environments.

Clubs generally run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, depending on the activity. Some clubs run until 6pm.

Our programme of clubs is published annually. New activities are added throughout the year, and children can sign up at the start of every term.

Many clubs are run by staff, but we also employ highly recommended specialist tutors (all fully DBS checked).

Gardening Club

Our popular Gardening Club opens up a world of exploration, awareness, enjoyment, wonder and learning.

Club members learn about gardening skills, conservation, recognising plants, basic flower arrangements and an appreciation of nature.

Gardening club offers children a range of benefits:

  • Introduces the art and science of gardening using basic maths, reading and writing skills, as well as hands-on skills
  • Teaches children about the environment, natural resources, ecology, conservation, composting and recycling
  • Encourages creativity by observing the cycles of life
  • Develops leadership skills.

Sewing Club

We offer beginner’s and intermediate sewing classes where children can learn skills including alterations, dressmaking and many more.

Over the term, children design and make their own handmade project to take home. The things they can make include:

  • A tote bag
  • A comfy cushion with button detail
  • A lovely lined pencil case
  • A lovely lined toiletry bag
  • A pair of pyjama bottoms.

Football Club

Football Club lets children develop their football skills in a fun, safe and sociable environment.

Our sessions cater for boys and girls, of all abilities, from Years 2–6.

The club has really grown over the last few years and is now one of our most popular after-school activities, with many of our players competing in local tournaments.

Prices

Most clubs cost £30 each per term. Study support clubs are FREE.
